This is the account of Shem。 Two years after the flood； when Shem was 100 years old； he became the father of Arphaxad。
11 闪生亚法撒之后，又活了五百年，并且生儿养女。
And after he became the father of Arphaxad； Shem lived 500 years and had other sons and daughters。
12 亚法撒活到三十五岁，生了沙拉。
When Arphaxad had lived 35 years； he became the father of Shelah。
13 亚法撒生沙拉之后，又活了四百零三年，并且生儿养女。
And after he became the father of Shelah； Arphaxad lived 403 years and had other sons and daughters。
14 沙拉活到三十岁，生了希伯。
When Shelah had lived 30 years； he became the father of Eber。
15 沙拉生希伯之后又活了四百零三年，并且生儿养女。
And after he became the father of Eber； Shelah lived 403 years and had other sons and daughters。
16 希伯活到三十四岁，生了法勒。
When Eber had lived 34 years； he became the father of Peleg。
17 希伯生法勒之后，又活了四百三十年，并且生儿养女。
And after he became the father of Peleg； Eber lived 430 years and had other sons and daughters。
18 法勒活到三十岁，生了拉吴。
When Peleg had lived 30 years； he became the father of Reu。
19 法勒生拉吴之后，又活了二百零九年，并且生儿养女。
And after he became the father of Reu； Peleg lived 209 years and had other sons and daughters。
20 拉吴活到三十二岁，生了西鹿。
When Reu had lived 32 years； he became the father of Serug。
21 拉吴生西鹿之后，又活了二百零七年，并且生儿养女。
And after he became the father of Serug； Reu lived 207 years and had other sons and daughters。
22 西鹿活到三十岁，生了拿鹤。
When Serug had lived 30 years； he became the father of Nahor。
23 西鹿生拿鹤之后，又活了二百年，并且生儿养女。
And after he became the father of Nahor； Serug lived 200 years and had other sons and daughters。
24 拿鹤活到二十九岁，生了他拉。
When Nahor had lived 29 years； he became the father of Terah。
25 拿鹤生他拉之后，又活了一百一十九年，并且生儿养女。
And after he became the father of Terah； Nahor lived 119 years and had other sons and daughters。
26 他拉活到七十岁，生了亚伯兰，拿鹤，哈兰。
After Terah had lived 70 years； he became the father of Abram； Nahor and Haran。
27 他拉的后代，记在下面，他拉生亚伯兰，拿鹤，哈兰。哈兰生罗得。
This is the account of Terah。 Terah became the father of Abram； Nahor and Haran。 And Haran became the father of Lot。
28 哈兰死在他的本地迦勒底的吾珥，在他父亲他拉之先。
While his father Terah was still alive； Haran died in Ur of the Chaldeans； in the land of his birth。
29 亚伯兰，拿鹤各娶了妻。亚伯兰的妻子名叫撒莱。拿鹤的妻子名叫密迦，是哈兰的女儿。哈兰是密迦和亦迦的父亲。
Abram and Nahor both married。 The name of Abram's wife was Sarai； and the name of Nahor's wife was Milcah； she was the daughter of Haran； the father of both Milcah and Iscah。
30 撒莱不生育，没有孩子。
Now Sarai was barren； she had no children。
31 他拉带着他儿子，亚伯兰和他孙子，哈兰的儿子罗得，并他儿妇亚伯兰的妻子撒莱，出了迦勒底的吾珥，要往迦南地去。他们走到哈兰，就住在那里。
Terah took his son Abram； his grandson Lot son of Haran； and his daughter…in…law Sarai； the wife of his son Abram； and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan。 But when they came to Haran； they settled there。
32 他拉共活了二百零五岁，就死在哈兰。
Terah lived 205 years； and he died in Haran。
1 耶和华对亚伯兰说，你要离开本地，本族，父家，往我所要指示你的地去。
The LORD had said to Abram； 〃Leave your country； your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you。
2 我必叫你成为大国，我必赐福给你，叫你的名为大，你也要叫别人得福。
〃I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you； I will make your name great； and you will be a blessing。
3 为你祝福的，我必赐福与他。那咒诅你的，我必咒诅他，地上的万族都要因你得福。
I will bless those who bless you； and whoever curses you I will curse； and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you。〃
4 亚伯兰就照着耶和华的吩咐去了。罗得也和他同去。亚伯兰出哈兰的时候，年七十五岁。
So Abram left； as the LORD had told him； and Lot went with him。 Abram was seventy…five years old when he set out from Haran。
5 亚伯兰将他妻子撒莱和侄儿罗得，连他们在哈兰所积蓄的财物，所得的人口，都带往迦南地去。他们就到了迦南地。
He took his wife Sarai； his nephew Lot； all the possessions they had accumulated and the people they had acquired in Haran； and they set out for the land of Canaan； and they arrived there。
6 亚伯兰经过那地，到了示剑地方，摩利橡树那里。那时迦南人住在那地。
Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh at Shechem。 At that time the Canaanites were in the land。
7 耶和华向亚伯兰显现，说，我要把这地赐给你的后裔。亚伯兰就在那里为向他显现的耶和华筑了一座坛。
The LORD appeared to Abram and said； 〃To your offspring I will give this land。〃 So he built an altar there to the LORD； who had appeared to him。
8 从那里他又迁到伯特利东边的山，支搭帐棚。西边是伯特利，东边是艾。他在那里又为耶和华筑了一座坛，求告耶和华的名。
From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent； with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east。 There he built an altar to the LORD and called on the name of the LORD。
9 后来亚伯兰又渐渐迁往南地去。
Then Abram set out and continued toward the Negev。
10 那地遭遇饥荒。因饥荒甚大，亚伯兰就下埃及去，要在那里暂居。
Now there was a famine in the land； and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe。
11 将近埃及，就对他妻子撒莱说，我知道你是容貌俊美的妇人。
As he was about to enter Egypt； he said to his wife Sarai； 〃I know what a beautiful woman you are。
12 埃及人看见你必说，这是他的妻子，他们就要杀我，却叫你存活。
When the Egyptians see you； they will say； 'This is his wife。' Then they will kill me but will let you live。
13 求你说，你是我的妹子，使我因你得平安，我的命也因你存活。
Say you are my sister； so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you。〃
14 及至亚伯兰到了埃及，埃及人看见那妇人极其美貌。
