This is the account of Shem； Ham and Japheth； Noah's sons； who themselves had sons after the flood。
2 雅弗的儿子是歌篾，玛各，玛代，雅完，土巴，米设，提拉。
The sons of Japheth： Gomer； Magog； Madai； Javan； Tubal； Meshech and Tiras。
3 歌篾的儿子是亚实基拿，利法，陀迦玛。
The sons of Gomer： Ashkenaz； Riphath and Togarmah。
4 雅完的儿子是以利沙，他施，基提，多单。
The sons of Javan： Elishah； Tarshish； the Kittim and the Rodanim。
5 这些人的后裔，将各国的地土，海岛，分开居住，各随各的方言，宗族立国。
（From these the maritime peoples spread out into their territories by their clans within their nations； each with its own language。）
6 含的儿子是古实，麦西，弗，迦南。
The sons of Ham： Cush； Mizraim； Put and Canaan。
7 古实的儿子是西巴，哈腓拉，撒弗他，拉玛，撒弗提迦。拉玛的儿子是示巴，底但。
The sons of Cush： Seba； Havilah； Sabtah； Raamah and Sabteca。 The sons of Raamah： Sheba and Dedan。
8 古实又生宁录，他为世上英雄之首。
Cush was the father of Nimrod； who grew to be a mighty warrior on the earth。
9 他在耶和华面前是个英勇的猎户，所以俗语说，像宁录在耶和华面前是个英勇的猎户。
He was a mighty hunter before the LORD； that is why it is said； 〃Like Nimrod； a mighty hunter before the LORD。〃
10 他国的起头是巴别，以力，亚甲，甲尼，都在示拿地。
The first centers of his kingdom were Babylon； Erech； Akkad and Calneh； in Shinar。
11 他从那地出来往亚述去，建造尼尼微，利河伯，迦拉，
From that land he went to Assyria； where he built Nineveh； Rehoboth Ir； Calah
12 和尼尼微，迦拉中间的利鲜，这就是那大城。
and Resen； which is between Nineveh and Calah； that is the great city。
13 麦西生路低人，亚拿米人，利哈比人，拿弗土希人，
Mizraim was the father of the Ludites； Anamites； Lehabites； Naphtuhites；
14 帕斯鲁细人，迦斯路希人，迦斐托人。从迦斐托出来的有非利士人。
Pathrusites； Casluhites （from whom the Philistines came） and Caphtorites。
15 迦南生长子西顿，又生赫
Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn； and of the Hittites；
16 和耶布斯人，亚摩利人，革迦撒人，
Jebusites； Amorites； Girgashites；
17 希未人，亚基人，西尼人，
Hivites； Arkites； Sinites；
18 亚瓦底人，洗玛利人，哈马人，后来迦南的诸族分散了。
Arvadites； Zemarites and Hamathites。 Later the Canaanite clans scattered
19 迦南的境界是从西顿向基拉耳的路上，直到迦萨，又向所多玛，蛾摩拉，押玛，洗扁的路上，直到拉沙。
and the borders of Canaan reached from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza； and then toward Sodom； Gomorrah； Admah and Zeboiim； as far as Lasha。
20 这就是含的后裔，各随他们的宗族，方言，所住的地土，邦国。
These are the sons of Ham by their clans and languages； in their territories and nations。
21 雅弗的哥哥闪，是希伯子孙之祖，他也生了儿子。
Sons were also born to Shem； whose older brother was Japheth； Shem was the ancestor of all the sons of Eber。
22 闪的儿子是以拦，亚述，亚法撒，路德，亚兰。
The sons of Shem： Elam； Asshur； Arphaxad； Lud and Aram。
23 亚兰的儿子是乌斯，户勒，基帖，玛施。
The sons of Aram： Uz； Hul； Gether and Meshech。
24 亚法撒生沙拉。沙拉生希伯。
Arphaxad was the father of Shelah； and Shelah the father of Eber。
25 希伯生了两个儿子，一个名叫法勒（法勒就是分的意思），因为那时人就分地居住。法勒的兄弟名叫约坍。
Two sons were born to Eber： One was named Peleg； because in his time the earth was divided； his brother was named Joktan。
26 约坍生亚摩答，沙列，哈萨玛非，耶拉，
Joktan was the father of Almodad； Sheleph； Hazarmaveth； Jerah；
27 哈多兰，乌萨，德拉，
Hadoram； Uzal； Diklah；
28 俄巴路，亚比玛利，示巴，
Obal； Abimael； Sheba；
29 阿斐，哈腓拉，约巴，这都是约坍的儿子。
Ophir； Havilah and Jobab。 All these were sons of Joktan。
30 他们所住的地方，是从米沙直到西发东边的山。
The region where they lived stretched from Mesha toward Sephar； in the eastern hill country。
31 这就是闪的子孙，各随他们的宗族，方言，所住的地土，邦国。
These are the sons of Shem by their clans and languages； in their territories and nations。
32 这些都是挪亚三个儿子的宗族，各随他们的支派立国。洪水以后，他们在地上分为邦国。
These are the clans of Noah's sons； according to their lines of descent； within their nations。 From these the nations spread out over the earth after the flood。
1 那时，天下人的口音，言语，都是一样。
Now the whole world had one language and a mon speech。
2 他们往东边迁移的时候，在示拿地遇见一片平原，就住在那里。
As men moved eastward； they found a plain in Shinar and settled there。
3 他们彼此商量说，来吧，我们要作砖，把砖烧透了。他们就拿砖当石头，又拿石漆当灰泥。
They said to each other； 〃e； let's make bricks and bake them thoroughly。〃 They used brick instead of stone； and tar for mortar。
4 他们说，来吧，我们要建造一座城和一座塔，塔顶通天，为要传扬我们的名，免得我们分散在全地上。
Then they said； 〃e； let us build ourselves a city； with a tower that reaches to the heavens； so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth。〃
5 耶和华降临，要看看世人所建造的城和塔。
But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building。
6 耶和华说，看哪，他们成为一样的人民，都是一样的言语，如今既作起这事来，以后他们所要作的事就没有不成就的了。
The LORD said； 〃If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this； then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them。
7 我们下去，在那里变乱他们的口音，使他们的言语彼此不通。
e； let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other。〃
8 于是，耶和华使他们从那里分散在全地上。他们就停工，不造那城了。
So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth； and they stopped building the city。
9 因为耶和华在那里变乱天下人的言语，使众人分散在全地上，所以那城名叫巴别（就是变乱的意思）。
That is why it was called Babelbecause there the LORD confused the language of the whole world。 From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth。
10 闪的后代记在下面。洪水以后二年，闪一百岁生了亚法撒。
