7：14阿摩司对亚玛谢说，我原不是先知，也不是先知的门徒（原文作儿子）。我是牧人，又是修理桑树的。
Then answered Amos； and said to Amaziah； I was no prophet； neither was I a prophet's son； but I was an herdman； and a gatherer of syore fruit：
7：15耶和华选召我，使我不跟从羊群，对我说，你去向我民以色列说预言。
And the LORD took me as I followed the flock； and the LORD said unto me； Go； prophesy unto my people Israel。
7：16亚玛谢阿，现在你要听耶和华的话。你说，不要向以色列说预言，也不要向以撒家滴下预言。
Now therefore hear thou the word of the LORD： Thou sayest； Prophesy not against Israel； and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac。
7：17所以耶和华如此说，你的妻子必在城中作妓女，你的儿女必倒在刀下，你的地必有人用绳子量了分取，你自己必死在污秽之地，以色列民定被掳去离开本地。
Therefore thus saith the LORD； Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city； and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword； and thy land shall be divided by line； and thou shalt die in a polluted land： and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land。

8：1主耶和华又指示我一件事。我看见一筐夏天的果子。
Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me： and behold a basket of summer fruit。
8：2他说，阿摩司阿，你看见什么。我说，看见一筐夏天的果子。耶和华说，我民以色列的结局到了。我必不再宽恕他们。
And he said； Amos； what seest thou？ And I said； A basket of summer fruit。 Then said the LORD unto me； The end is e upon my people of Israel； I will not again pass by them any more。
8：3主耶和华说，那日，殿中的诗歌变为哀号。必有许多尸首在各处抛弃，无人作声。
And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day； saith the Lord GOD： there shall be many dead bodies in every place； they shall cast them forth with silence。
8：4你们这些要吞吃穷乏人，使困苦人衰败的，当听我的话。
Hear this； O ye that swallow up the needy； even to make the poor of the land to fail；
8：5你们说，月朔几时过去，我们好卖粮。安息日几时过去，我们好摆开麦子，卖出用小升斗，收银用大戥子，用诡诈的天平欺哄人。
Saying； When will the new moon be gone； that we may sell corn？ and the sabbath； that we may set forth wheat； making the ephah small； and the shekel great； and falsifying the balances by deceit？
8：6好用银子买贫寒人，用一双鞋换穷乏人，将坏了的麦子卖给人。
That we may buy the poor for silver； and the needy for a pair of shoes； yea； and sell the refuse of the wheat？
8：7耶和华指着雅各的荣耀起誓说，他们的一切行为，我必永远不忘。
The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob； Surely I will never forget any of their works。
8：8地岂不因这事震动，其上的居民，不也悲哀吗。地必全然像尼罗河涨起，如同埃及河涌上落下。
Shall not the land tremble for this； and every one mourn that dwelleth therein？ and it shall rise up wholly as a flood； and it shall be cast out and drowned； as by the flood of Egypt。
8：9主耶和华说，到那日，我必使日头在午间落下，使地在白昼黑暗。
And it shall e to pass in that day； saith the Lord GOD； that I will cause the sun to go down at noon； and I will darken the earth in the clear day：
8：10我必使你们的节期变为悲哀，歌曲变为哀歌。众人腰束麻布，头上光秃，使这场悲哀如丧独生子，至终如痛苦的日子一样。
And I will turn your feasts into mourning； and all your songs into lamentation； and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins； and baldness upon every head； and I will make it as the mourning of an only son； and the end thereof as a bitter day。
8：11主耶和华说，日子将到，我必命饥荒降在地上。人饥饿非因无饼，乾渴非因无水，乃因不听耶和华的话。
Behold； the days e； saith the Lord GOD； that I will send a famine in the land； not a famine of bread； nor a thirst for water； but of hearing the words of the LORD：
8：12他们必飘流，从这海到那海，从北边到东边，往来奔跑，寻求耶和华的话，却寻不着。
And they shall wander from sea to sea； and from the north even to the east； they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD； and shall not find it。
8：13当那日，美貌的处女，和少年的男子，必因乾渴发昏。
In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst。
8：14那指着撒玛利亚牛犊（原文作罪）起誓的说，但哪，我们指着你那里的活神起誓。又说，我们指着别是巴的神道（神原文作活）起誓。这些人都必仆倒，永不再起来。
They that swear by the sin of Samaria； and say； Thy god； O Dan； liveth； and； The manner of Beersheba liveth； even they shall fall； and never rise up again。

9：1我看见主站在祭坛旁边。他说，你要击打柱顶，使门槛震动，打碎柱顶，落在众人头上。所剩下的人，我必用刀杀戮。无一人能逃避，无一人能逃脱。
I saw the LORD standing upon the altar： and he said； Smite the lintel of the door； that the posts may shake： and cut them in the head； all of them； and I will slay the last of them with the sword： he that fleeth of them shall not flee away； and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered。
9：2他们虽然挖透阴间，我的手必取出他们来。虽然爬上天去，我必拿下他们来。
Though they dig into hell； thence shall mine hand take them； though they climb up to heaven； thence will I bring them down：
9：3虽然藏在迦密山顶，我必搜寻，捉出他们来。虽然从我眼前藏在海底，我必命蛇咬他们。
And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel； I will search and take them out thence； and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea； thence will I mand the serpent； and he shall bite them：
9：4虽被仇敌掳去，我必命刀剑杀戮他们。我必向他们定住眼目。降祸不降福。
And though they go into captivity before their enemies； thence will I mand the sword； and it shall slay them： and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil； and not for good。
9：5主万军之耶和华摸地，地就消化，凡住在地上的，都必悲哀。地必全然像尼罗河涨起，如同埃及河落下。
And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land； and it shall melt； and all that dwell therein shall mourn： and it shall rise up wholly like a flood； and shall be drowned； as by the flood of Egypt。
9：6那在天上建造楼阁，在地上安定穹苍，命海水浇在地上的，耶和华是他的名。
It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven； and hath founded his troop in the earth； he that calleth for the waters of the sea； and poureth them out upon the face of the earth： The LORD is his name。
9：7耶和华说，以色列人哪，我岂不看你们如古实人吗。我岂不是�
